General information about course

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Pre-requisites for course

  • Participants MUST complete a pre-course workbook before attending the practical First Aid Course. ASEC recommends collecting the pre-course workbook at least three (3) days prior to your class.  IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU TAKE YOUR TIME WITH THE FIRST AID PRE-COURSE WORKBOOK AS YOU MUST ACHIEVE A 100% MARK TO BE COMPETENT AND GET YOUR CERTIFICATE. If you do not attain 100% then you will be required to remain in the class at the end to review incorrect answers.
