To achieve this qualification the candidate must demonstrate competency in 14 units of competency (8 core and 6 electives).
Successful completion of this program will achieve a CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations from the CPP – Property Services Training Package (Release 10.3)which is nationally recognised. Participants who complete less than the required units 14 units of competence (8 core, 6 electives) will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for units completed.
Current holder of an ACT Security Licence.
Certificate III consists of 8 core units and 6 base line units of which 2 units can be recognised prior learning from relevant packages. Certificate III also has specialised units. Specialised units are units which require intensive instruction for example baton, handcuffs, firearms and cash in transit. These units are at an extra cost.
ASEC recommends that you have at least 6 months experience in the security industry before commencing Certificate III.
For students wishing to work as an armed guard in the cash in transit industry you are required to complete firearms competencies and cash in transit units.
